HEAD OF ELECTRICAL
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Head of Electrical role is critical in ensuring that all power for our event is installed and functioning as per the direction of the Electrical Distribution Drawing package. The Head of Electrical will be responsible for directing the onsite team of Electrical Technicians in this task as well as coordinating and overseeing the work done by our onsite power vendors (CES Power) and the Venue Electricians. This role requires a high degree of organization and communication with multiple other disciplines as well as a keen understanding of the electrical practices used in the installation of our event.
COMMITMENT DURING SEASON:
- Must be prepared to work each day of the Load-in, Install, Run-of-Show, Strike and Load-out.
- This includes the holiday season: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day.
- Applicants able to help with our ongoing summer maintenance program are highly favored.
- Venue Advance commitments will be required in the month of October to facilitate Electrical Drawing reviews and cover training. It is highly recommended that applicants are also available to oversee the packing/shipping of our electrical packages in one of our warehouses.
- Travel will be required.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Leading a team of Electrical Technicians to ensure all event assets are wired properly and functioning as per the direction of the Electrical Distribution Drawing package.
- Communicate and report daily progress to the Production Manager as well as onsite management.
- Coordinate and oversee the successful implementation of our AC power distribution by our power vendors.
- Coordinate and manage the work done by our Venue Electrical Contractors.
- Account for the successful load in, storage, inventory, and load out of our electrical supplies.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of seasonal employees as needed.
- Collaborate with all departments ensuring their electrical requirements are met.
- Work closely with our venue partners to ensure clear communication between our operational teams.
- Work in collaboration with the HQ to advance the event for your market (ex. supplier recommendations).
- Demonstrate a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Establish clear lines of communication between your team, personnel, and all stakeholders.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
- 3+ years of Lighting/Electrical experience in the Entertainment Industry.
- Experience managing teams of people in large productions, installations, and/or events.
- A strong understanding of electrical theory and practices with a focus on reporting and safety.
- The ability to read and follow Electrical Distribution drawings.
- Strong communicator and leader demonstrated by executing multiple successful projects.
- Ability to lead large teams and effectively manage schedules.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven.
- Understanding of event installation methodologies: Tools, Equipment, Materials, and Processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Our venues span over 100,000 square feet.
- Must be able to frequently walk and stand for long durations.
- Frequently operates machinery and/or power tools.
- Enchant is an outdoor event, and subject to local winter weather. Must dress accordingly and be prepared.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- OSHA 30 certification (Required).
- Aerial Lift Certification (Preferred).
