The Role
The Core Platform Engineering (CPE) team is responsible for the shared backbone infrastructure of applications deployed by software engineers at Addepar. CPE provides the engineering support required to meet Addepar's ever-increasing demands for scalable software builds, deployments, releases, and the maintenance of our applications worldwide.
We are currently seeking backend software engineers to join us! We are passionate about building applications that enable others to create software in a rapid yet safe manner. Our developer infrastructure supports most engineering teams at Addepar. We build tools to:
- Automate the handling of large volumes of data
- Establish resilient, distributed systems
- Develop high-speed inter-process networking
- Automate AWS infrastructure creation
- Expand our capabilities as Addepar's opportunities grow!

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.
The current range for this role is $125,000 - $195,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You'll Do
- Build quality software for our core infrastructure.
- Drive innovation in a data-intensive, distributed computational service architecture.
- Engage holistically in all aspects of the software development pipeline, from writing and testing to debugging, building, and releasing.
Who You are
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a professional software engineer.
- Intellectually curious, unafraid to experiment, and strongly inclined towards automation.
