Solution Architect 2, Federal
Mythics is seeking a Solution Architect 2, Federal to join our team. The Solution Architect 2, Federal is a member of our Presales Solutions team focused on customers in the DoD and Civilian Federal Sector. The Architect's primary responsibility is to provide both pre- and post-sales positioning of On-Premise Oracle Licensing and Oracle Cloud solutions to our customers. Cloud solution components will include Oracle Cloud PaaS and IaaS Solutions, including PaaS offerings beyond the database like Data Integration Cloud, Analytics Cloud, Observability and Manageability services and Security technologies like Data Safe, Identity management and core OCI security features. Licensing includes Oracle Database and all of its packs and features, Fusion Middleware, E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, Primavera and most other Oracle on-premises software.
The Architect will operate through the complete opportunity lifecycle from pre-sales support, solution architecture, blueprinting, and implementation planning, as well as through post-sales advisory support, resulting in renewals, expansions, and uptake of additional services. This position is responsible for working with the client to understand and document their business needs and guide the client on a map to success across public, private, hybrid, On-Premise and multi-cloud deployment models. This role operates under general supervision, providing varying complex technical solutions independently.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Provide pre-and post-sales support to potential and established Federal customers, including advice around best practices, implementation planning and implementation advice.
- Design high level cloud and On-Premise implementation and migration approaches for customer projects.
- Create and maintain a library of best practices documents which can be utilized with customers and prospects; build cloud technical and network diagrams as required.
- Work with existing customers to find and upsell new Oracle opportunities, tracking status and progress.
- Create strong relationships with customers leading to reference-ability and "trusted advisor" status.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting OCI and Oracle technology issues.
- Coordinate with consulting and product pre-sales on potential implementations, providing handoff, assistance in scoping, and conveying an understanding of opportunities when appropriate.
- Provide Product feature/function overviews of various Oracle services to customers.
- Work with Technical Teams, support solution drafts, proof of concepts, mockups, definitions, designs, and builds.
- Assist in the buildout of product and consulting offerings.
- Understand and make recommendations to customers on compliance regulations, including FedRAMP, HIPAA, CJIS, etc.
- Assist sales teams in responding to Request for Proposals.
- Maintain strong relationships with product and consulting sales representatives and assist in conveying technical and value information to customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of Operational Experience in large scale environments, supporting complex production workloads across the entire technology stack.
- 8+ years of Oracle experience with the portfolio of Oracle Cloud, Core Tech Software, and Hardware solutions. Primary experience focus areas are:
- Oracle PaaS and IaaS Cloud solutions;
- Oracle Engineered Systems solutions;
- Oracle Core Tech (DB, FMW, Security)
- Experience recommending and implementing Oracle Cloud (OCI) or competitive clouds in the Public Sector Market.
- Experience in recommending and implementing Oracle software technologies in the Federal Space.
Other Required Experience and Certifications:
- Experience with blueprinting and design tools such as DrawIo, Visio.
- Experience with Linux, Solaris, Windows operating systems.
- Implementation experience with Oracle Engineered Systems such as Exadata.
- Experience with networking protocols and tools.
- Oracle Cloud Architect certification or ability to achieve certification within 60 days of start.
- Certifications in one or more Oracle technologies (DBA, SOA Suite, OBIEE, etc.)

- Knowledge of IT ATO processes such as NIST and FEDRAMP is a plus.
