Your mission
With immediate effect we are looking for a full-time (m/f/d) Principal Scientist - Image Analysis to join our Data Science team. In this role, you will lead efforts in image acquisition, data processing, biostatistics, and software development to define analytical testing parameters for our next-generation Molecular Cartography platform.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Boston area, offering the opportunity to collaborate with global sites and external partners. You will report to the Sr. Director of Data Science and Computer Engineering and work closely with the Director of Protein Assay Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with laboratory scientists to provide input on experimental design for assay development focusing on image analysis and data analytics.
- Develop and maintain imaging instrumentation calibration standards.
- Assess staining performance of developed assays using image analysis software.
- Evaluate multiple software programs to identify ideal candidates for generation of algorithms to deploy across FF and FFPE tissue samples.
- Manage the processing of Molecular Cartography data and its output, including data visualization and distribution via graphs, plots, and tables.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new software features including spatial analytics and visualization.
- Provide successful image analysis training to fellow colleagues and team members.
- Prepare technical documentation including SOPs, work instructions, specifications, study protocols, and study reports as it pertains to image analytics.
- Ability to operate fluorescent and brightfield microscopy imaging systems.
- Generate written and oral presentations of technical updates for presentation at internal meetings for key stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other internal groups at Resolve to ensure open communication and timely completion of deliverables.
Your profile
- Master of Science or a PhD in life sciences, bioinformatics or computer science with additional leadership experience of 3+ years.
- Experience working in a life sciences industry (5+ years) with track record of using software programs for image analytics and data generation of IHC or IF images.
- Ability to work with MATLAB, Python, R, and utilize them to code, visualize data, and run statistical analyses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with multidisciplinary development projects and working within a cross-functional team.
