In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the overall day-to-day operation of the hospice care program to ensure the highest quality operation in accordance with Willow Branch Hospice standards and resident satisfaction. This position is responsible for supervising hospice staff and reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Services.
Job Description
- Executive for all operations, acting as contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
- Manage budget and cash flow, maintain budget accountability, aggressively anticipate and minimize negative budget variances and deficits.
- Hire, train, discipline, and terminate managerial employees.
- Maintain all local, state, and federal licenses.
- Maintain superior training for staff, ensure that training programs are effectively executed.
- Create an environment for pride and quality among all staff, encouraging them to reach their highest potential.
- Lead staff meetings.
- Keep up-to-date with information about competitors.
- Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents to make informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect residents' personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
- Become an integral part of the community in social and civic affairs by representing the community in local, state, and professional organizations.
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
Qualifications
Level of Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training;
Area of Study: Prefer BSN
Years of Experience: Preferably, 2-5+ years of Administrator experience within hospice or home health, RN License
Type of Experience: Training or experience in gerontology and/or hospitality preferred
Special Certifications: State certificate may be required
Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and communicate effectively.
Skills and Ability:
- Possess the analytical skills to evaluate rehabilitative programs and accurately direct budgeting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with diverse healthcare staff.
Information Systems: Proficient computer skills
Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
