As the Field Application Specialist, your main mission is to ensure successful application, implementation, qualification, and use of our products, by supporting sales for product positioning and demonstration whilst supporting customers for application development work, initial startup, training and troubleshooting.
In the Field Application Specialist position, you will be responsible for providing technical pre- and post-sales support to customers, sales representatives and marketing for the development and implementation of Sartorius products and technologies. Additionally, you will be responsible to execute the marketing and sales strategies in support of new product launches and specific marketing initiatives. You will be assigned to work with a defined number of sales representatives with a shared territory sales goal supporting the Bio pharmaceutical industry in Upstream and Downstream processes.
What you will accomplish together with us:
- You will support the sales organization on existing products through product presentations, demonstrations, and application studies, and on new products in close collaboration with product management through beta sites testing and demonstrations.
- You will provide technical qualification of sales opportunities to ensure appropriate positioning of technology within the customer application.
- One of your tasks will be to support Sales in the customer process and URS analysis and generate application trials to help designing optimized products in line with the application requirements.
- You will support the development of strong relationships with accounts within the assigned sales territory.
- In this role, you will assist customers for first product installation and initial start-up and ensure the training of the customer.
- In the event of an issue, you will support Quality Department in the quality complaint process by troubleshooting and analyzing customers processes for better investigation and resolution.
- You will report on competitors' products and feedback information to the Application Specialist Team Management and Products Management.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What will convince us:
- You have completed a bachelor's degree in Life Science, Biological Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- You have a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in an MSAT, Manufacturing, Process Development or Tech Transfer position.
- You have a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in a bioprocessing, (upstream and downstream) position.
- You possess proven expertise in product and application.
- You have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Computer proficient in Windows-based software package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Up to 30% overnight travel will be required to support customers / sales, to attend organizational meetings and trainings will be required.
* Potential for international travel once per year.

Base salary offered for the position is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 depending on experience. (Higher starting salaries may be available in other locations based on geographic differentials)
