Purpose:
Directs and oversees the structure, development, delivery, and administration of all clinical services; provides leadership and direction to specific agency clinical functions and operations; assists in determining and defining the human service needs of the community as a basis for service development and ensures that resources are utilized in a manner that maximizes the cost-effectiveness of services provided; articulates C4's mission and vision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Studies, analyzes, and reviews entire agency services and appropriations to ascertain effectiveness of services provided, makes recommendations of types of services offered, and provides leadership to achieve optimum results within the guidelines and resources of the agency.
- Evaluates the type of services provided by the agency in relation to specified goals and standards and recommends modification where appropriate.
- Monitors operation of all clinical services and adjusts as necessary to accomplish goals.
- Monitors clinical activity and reporting patterns of services to ensure that contractual obligations are met.
- Negotiates contracts and/or working agreements to support agency operations.
- Makes recommendations regarding control and utilization of physical and financial resources.
- Manages and develops internal staff productivity targets.
- Ensures that all clinical reports, internal and external, are completed as necessary.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with human services and government agencies, health service vendors, and private organizations to enhance service delivery and agency image.
- Interprets the functions of the agency to the community through direct involvement with public, civic, or private groups.
- Seeks growth opportunities in the provision of behavioral health care and other social services.
- Demonstrates active involvement in supervision as evidenced by constructive participation, initiative, and effort.
- Maintains professional licensure.
- Identifies professional goals and enhances job-related skills through staff development activities.
- Actively participates in the agency's assurance, accreditation, C4 Quality Management (C4QM) activities, and other special projects.
- Provides direction and leadership to Directors to ensure efficient and effective agency operations and to ensure that quality services are provided and maintained throughout all areas of agency operations.
- Assesses performance by monitoring the quality and quantity of job behaviors and evaluates performance annually in a timely manner.
- Actively incorporates how the billing process impacts the therapeutic process in clinical and programmatic supervision.
- Keeps current with agency policies and procedures.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the President & CEO.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MA/MS in Psychology or MSW required.
- Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) required.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a clinical or administrative capacity.
- Willingness to work cooperatively with others in pursuit of organizational goals and objectives.
- Personal vehicle, Illinois driver's license, vehicle insurance, and insurable driving record.
