Job Summary
The Head Tennis Coach/Director of Tennis is responsible for planning, developing, and managing the operations of a Division I men's and women's tennis program within Chicago State University's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Job title is negotiable based on experience.
Job Description
- Provide leadership, direction, and overall administration for the development, coordination, and implementation of programs, activities, and professional services.
- Formulate, initiate, implement, and interpret policies relating to the operation of the units.
- Establish goals and objectives for the department/unit.
- Direct the staffing by overseeing recruitment, training, and management of work assigned to professional and support staff.
- Oversee financial aspects of unit management, including control of the budget and allocation of resources.
- Interface with advisory committees, serve on campus or University committees, communicate and consult with other offices or campus officials when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, plus three years of collegiate or professional coaching experience.

Master's Degree
Prior Head Coaching Experience
Division I Coaching Experience
