Lutheran Social Service of MN is seeking a seasoned HR professional with proven experience as a strategic and knowledgeable HR business leader for the position of Vice President, HR. The successful candidate will lead a staff of 11 HR professionals and manage a budget of $2+ million dollars. The position provides executive leadership to the HR function and has broad responsibilities for the development of the Human Resources strategies, which advance the organization's multi-year objectives for service innovation and delivery, improving health outcomes, and strengthening its commitment to Social Justice and standing as an Antiracism organization.
The VP HR position will serve as a member of the CEO's Cabinet, an advisor to the executive team and as the primary HR Business Partner to the senior leadership team.
Primary roles and responsibilities include:
- Provide overall leadership to the HR staff;
- Identify, develop and lead the strategic direction of the organization's HR business practices;
- Direct the HR functions for talent acquisition, employee relations and compliance, employee engagement, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and workforce business analytics;
- Provide leadership and guidance to the organization's initiatives supporting the Anti-Racism stand and Social Justice;
- Exhibit behaviors that reflect the LSS mission and commitment to Trustworthiness and its Stand for Social Justice and Racial Equity.
Position Requirements:
- Education:
- BA or MBA; Degree in Human Resources/Labor Relations or Business Administration desired - Work Experience:
- At least 7 years' experience as a senior leader with responsibility for leading the HR function in the areas of legal compliance, staffing/recruitment, compensation planning and analysis, benefit planning, learning and development, and knowledge of HRIS and LMS systems.
- Experience in OD practices to achieve operational excellence in a highly complex work environment.
