Stamford Hospital is seeking a Practice Coordinator to join their Infusion Suite Team! The Infusion Practice Coordinator (IPC) reports directly to the Nurse Manager of the Infusion Suite and works closely in collaboration with the Practice Coordinators in MOH. The IPCs work in a dynamic team environment to problem-solve and collaborate with the goal of providing excellent ongoing patient experiences. As liaison for infusion patients and communications, the IPC provides superior customer service to patients, caregivers, clinicians, external and internal staff in accordance with the department’s service standards and must exhibit a high level of comfort with multitasking and problem solving. The IPC exhibits compassion for patients receiving a cancer or other critical diagnosis and inspires confidence in patients that excellent care is the paramount goal in the department.
Shift: The hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. No Holidays or weekends.
Required Skills
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare customer service environment required.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in a Windows environment.
- BA/BS degree/college coursework preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
- Bi-lingual capability highly desirable.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field is preferred.
- Experience in a clinical/therapy role and/or ATP role required.
- Minimum of (2) years of sales, management, and operations experience in a business-to-business sales environment required.
- Minimum (3) years of field experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Experience with order processing.
- Understands business implications of decisions.
- Displays orientation to profitability.
- Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition.
- Aligns work with strategic goals.
- Ability to develop a comprehensive organization-wide sales strategic plan that is aligned with the organization’s annual income requirements.
