Job Overview

The College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is recruiting an ambulatory psychiatrist for its growing and competitive department, at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The final rank and title of the appointment will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant. We encourage those with an interest in mood disorders, women's health, interventional psychiatry, and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities to apply. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is dedicated to high quality medical student and resident education, excellence in patient care, and advancing the science in psychiatry and behavioral neurosciences through clinical trials and ongoing collaborative research.
Essential Functions
- Direct patient care in the outpatient setting at UC Health facilities and/or other local health care systems.
- Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Conducting clinical research at various University of Cincinnati and UC Health facilities, hospitals, and other local health care systems.
- Participation in quality improvement, peer supervision, and formal mentorship.
Required Education
Prior to the time of appointment, must have obtained an MD or DO degree.
Required Trainings/Certifications
Prior to time of appointment, must have:
- Ohio Medical License
- Completion of a 4-year Psychiatry Residency, and Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
