General Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and independent professional with strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of contract negotiation, vendor management, portfolio management, and planning/forecasting. This role will oversee the portfolio and financial management side of our operations, helping us stay on track with budget and project objectives. Initially, this position will not have direct reports but will evolve into a leadership role, overseeing a small team. The goal is to streamline operations and prepare the organization for future growth, specifically in the Total Leave and Solutions space.

From developing new leave administration platforms to helping employers provide behavioral health support to employees, we are continuously innovating and creating new products and capabilities.
This is a hybrid opportunity, defined as 3 days onsite per week at our Portland, ME, Chattanooga, TN, Columbia, SC or Atlanta, GA campus.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in portfolio and financial management.
- Proven track record of managing budgets between $25M and $50M.
- Expertise with PPM, Microsoft platforms, and financial systems.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in planning, forecasting, and budget management.
- Experience working with vendors, contract negotiations, and supply management.
- Ability to engage with teams and resources effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Independent, self-starter with strong initiative and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a $50M+ budget, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial goals.
- Engage with teams, resources, and vendors to resolve problems and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Ensure contract renewals are completed in advance to avoid delays.
- Collaborate with vendors and supply management to maintain and enhance existing vendor relationships.
- Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance and legal obligations are met.
- Streamline budget processes and PPM entries to support business solutions.
- Manage ROMs and templates, organizing them for easy reference and reuse.
- Monitor and manage financial performance, identifying discrepancies and taking corrective action when necessary.
- Prepare financial forecasts and projections for the upcoming fiscal years, with a focus on 2025 and beyond.
- Ensure invoices from vendors align with contract expectations and are processed accurately.
- Implement structure and organization into portfolio management, ensuring all documents are accessible and well-maintained.
- Provide leadership and support for future team members, managing up to five individual contributors.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$109,100.00-$213,300.00
