RF Test Technician

Job Description
- Schedule work assignments to perform duties to minimize downtime of production equipment.
- Manage and coordinate lab activities in support of product development.
- Determine short-term and long-term lab needs to support new product development.
- Setup and reconfigure test benches for project-specific needs.
- Planning, active management, and maintenance of lab facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Manage automated test systems, RF component inventory, and yearly calibration schedules.
- Participate in the definition and implementation of corporate ESD policies.
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to support engineering test projects.
- Responsible for resource management.
- Take the lead in the identification of roadblocks and plan workarounds in a proactive manner.
- Lead lab's day-to-day operations (including but not limited to Lab Organization, Test schedule, Quality Standard compliance, ESD).
- Ensure lab processes are optimized, efficient and have a continuous improvement mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must possess 5+ years related experience.
- Associates' Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics preferred.
- Previous experience with RF tests and measurements.
- Previous experience with the following equipment/tools: RF spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, multimeters, power meters, RF amplifiers, power supplies, probe stations, and RF sources is required.
- An understanding of RF component characteristics, performance advantages, and trade-offs.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
- An understanding of basic RF measurement equipment; component/system-level troubleshooting and repair.
- The candidate must have excellent communication skills.
- Strong critical thinker with a focus on process improvement.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600 - $167,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
