ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT
CMIT is seeking a motivated, career and team-oriented Enterprise Architect (SME) in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Continuous Diagnostic & Mitigation (CDM) DEFEND E Program. The CDM DEFEND E Program is a critical component of CISA's national effort to ensure the defense and resilience of cyberspace.
The Enterprise Architect (SME) provides all the necessary technical expertise to architect and design cyber security enterprise solutions into a Federal Agency's overarching enterprise. This position ensures effective execution of all architecture tasks with the agency assigned cyber security projects. The position is also responsible for providing thought leadership for our clients while providing technical oversight for solution deployment engagements. This position will be expected to work across multiple technology pillars and have specific knowledge of identity solutions.
This is a remote position where the candidate can work from any location within the United States provided, they are able to work on an eastern time zone schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of enterprise IT Architecture experience and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on enterprise IT engineering experience, for a total of 15 years of experience.
- Experience implementing multiple types of technical solutions using COTS security tools in complex and heterogeneous IT data centers that are geographically dispersed.
- Must be able to clearly articulate your experience in:
- Architecting, designing, engineering, integrating, configuring, and deploying COTS solutions into data centers.
- Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning and their impacts to technical designs.
- Understanding of 3 or more of these IT/Security functions; asset management, vulnerability management, identity and access management, network protections, and data protection.
- Leading enterprise IT solution activities from cradle to grave.
- Understanding the data sets or information provided by COTS tools in support of the needs of the organization.
Clearance Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability; not needed to start.
- Candidate is required to be a US Citizen (non-dual citizenship) with the ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivery presentations.
