The Marketing Strategy, Insights, and Analytics team plays a vital role in empowering the Marketing organization to make data-driven decisions. By building strategy grounded in actionable insights and analysis, this team helps marketers and cross-functional partners understand their target audiences, evaluate creative, campaign and media strategies and measure their impact. We also build new data and insight capabilities to understand consumer perception and behaviors.
We are looking for this role to help develop and drive TikTok's global, regional and country level marketing strategy leveraging all the first and third party data using sources such as qualitative and quantitative research, social listening, marketing effectiveness studies and syndicated data. The person in this role will identify where we should make marketing investments, how much we should invest, what is the likely impact, identify target audiences for campaigns, KPIs of success and synthesis of learnings. This is a heavily cross-functional and matrixed role that will rely on capabilities within and outside the team to drive impact. The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies in partnership with stakeholders aligned with business objectives, target audience insights, and market trends.
- Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, understand broader marketing objectives, OKRs and recommend data driven strategies to drive KPIs and business outcomes.
- Leverage market research, competitive analysis, and behavioral data to identify target markets, customer needs, and opportunities for differentiation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Brand and Communications, Marketing, Product, Content, Government Relations, Trust and Safety etc to help inform integrated marketing plans that leverage various channels and tactics.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, tracking performance and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Lead the development of marketing messaging, positioning, and branding strategies that resonate with target audiences and differentiate the company from competitors.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the marketplace, providing insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in marketing strategy and execution, incorporating innovative approaches into marketing plans.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years proven experience in marketing strategy development and execution, preferably within a top tier consulting company or a global brand.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing innovative marketing solutions that drive results.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards common goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in marketing strategy development and execution, preferably within a top tier consulting company or a global brand.
