Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team assists private equity and corporate clients by providing cohesive diligence across financial, tax, data analytics, cybersecurity, and technical accounting. Leveraging data-based insights, strong technical knowledge and industry experience, the TAS team supports clients in M&A, strategic transformations and capital markets endeavors.
Drawing on Houlihan Lokey’s market leadership in middle-market M&A transactions, our deals experts provide candid, unbiased, and rigorous support on matters most impacting deal value, and assist investors in identifying and evaluating key value drivers and risk factors.
Job Description
TAS is seeking a Vice President to join our fast-growing Digital Value Creation group (DVC). DVC provides our clients value-creating insights from vast market, operational, and financial data.
DVC professionals work closely with our due diligence and investment banking teams. As a professional in the group, you will be teamed with highly talented and dedicated M&A professionals. This opportunity provides you broad exposure to different transactional issues affecting businesses in an M&A environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in buy-side and sell-side M&A diligence engagements and separate data-focused engagements.
- Communicate directly with senior business executives and internal stakeholders.
- Gather, evaluate, sanitize, and organize data sets.
- Prepare data workflows to clean and combine data from multiple sources.
- Prepare data visualizations and dashboards to deliver key insights.
- Generate insights on the drivers of business growth, margin sustainability, and profitability.
- Identify the key business risks and opportunities impacting business valuation.
- Prepare relevant analyses including price-volume analysis, customer cohort analysis, and customer order analysis.
- Be willing to learn and train peers in the advisory practice on data analysis and visualization tools.
- Continuously develop industry knowledge and qualifications.
- Train, develop, mentor, and lead Financial Analysts and Associate team members.
- Prepare marketing materials and participate in business development activities.
- Work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
Basic Qualifications
- 5-7 years of transaction services experience in Data Analytics or a combination of Data Analytics and Financial Due Diligence.
- Strong command of Tableau, Power BI (DAX), or both.
- Strong command of Alteryx, Dataiku, or equivalent data prep tool.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Exceptional work ethic, high motivation, and a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and be a team player.
- Ability and willingness to travel when required.
- Strong academic performance, professional achievement, and client service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in, or a working knowledge of Python, SQL, R, VBA, Snowflake, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
Salary Range
Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is: $145,000.00-$180,000.00. Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.
