This position is open to candidates located in the Western region. This is a hybrid role; the selected colleague must be willing and able to work out of a WTW office.
As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Director, you will be a key member of the Financial Actuarial & Analytics (FAA) Community of Expertise. You will lead clients’ financial/actuarial engagements for a portfolio of clients and/or significantly contribute to complex clients across the full spectrum of employer health and group benefit programs including medical, dental, life, disability, etc. In partnership with Client Service colleagues, you will communicate FAA concepts, strategies, and results that effectively drive client action and improve plan performance. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects alongside leaders in the industry.
Duties:
- Communicates and delivers complex concepts and financial/actuarial/analytic results to effectively drive client action and improve plan performance.
- Leads medium to large clients’ financial/actuarial engagements.
- Develops and delivers the financial/actuarial strategy for a portfolio of medium and/or large clients.
- Drives revenue growth through client sales of additional actuarial, financial, and/or risk solutions.
- Provides consulting quality reviews and client delivery for all types of financial/actuarial deliverables.
- Guides team (regional and global) on deliverables based on client need; reviews models and presentations for client delivery.
- Builds relationships internally and collaborates effectively on cross-functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience and demonstrated success in the delivery of complex health and welfare financial/actuarial strategies and analysis in a consulting or brokerage environment.
- Proven ability to generate revenue.
- Track record of success in managing and growing client relationships.
- Deep understanding and expert knowledge in all aspects of employee benefit plan design, underwriting, and funding concepts.
- Proven ability to lead data analytic projects.
- Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy and leading the development of new intellectual capital.
- Ability to leverage judgment and past experiences to predict which methods will work.
- Multiple years of experience across one or multiple client segments.
- An executive presence with polished and well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
- State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.
- Actuarial designation and current continuing education (optional).
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
