The Product Data Management Engineering Team is responsible for the design, implementation, and delivery of several Hardware offerings to support Azure technologies in Mission Critical Data Centers. Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and influence the way one of the world's largest and fastest growing cloud environments is built and supported. As a critical part of the PDM Engineering team within Microsoft's CSCP Organization, this role will work with internal stakeholders to create building blocks, Bill of Materials (BOM's), and Row level hardware design documentation and product data model. You will ensure that the design documentation conforms to Data Center Infrastructure standards.
- Work with many enterprise-class servers and networking technologies to create designs used to deploy hardware into Data Center.
- Generate technical specs for BOM's, design and all other product data characteristics in the document using data provided by various teams in Microsoft.
- Specify, collate, create, update, and maintain the design and supply chain characteristics for Microsoft product using PDM system.
- Build a server Bill of materials using discrete manufacturer and Microsoft part numbers and attach associated documents.
- Upload the parts into a central library hosted by Microsoft PLM/PDM (product lifecycle management/product design management) system, or another method followed in the Microsoft system.
- Review correctness of the parts against specifications given in datasheets and manufacturers recommendations and Microsoft specific DFM guidelines.
- Validate the configuration and work with the PDM engineering team to resolve any issues through the workflow tool (Azure Dev Ops).
- Interface with several internal stakeholder teams, gather requirements and provide feedback on design feasibility and constraints as needed.
- Manage multiple projects and work across a global multi-cultural team to drive influence, schedules, and timelines to meet project goals.
