Job Description
Consulting Partner Automotive Connected Technology Telematics Focus
We are seeking a highly competent Consulting Partner with specialized expertise in the automotive Connected Technology domain with a strong focus on telematics. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep technical knowledge and experience in the connected automotive space. They will collaborate closely with leaders across the Connected Technology group to define and implement a forward-looking strategy that will drive the development and success of connected products.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and develop a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for connected automotive products with a specific focus on telematics.
- Provide thought leadership and an outside-in perspective on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in connected automotive technologies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create a blueprint for the group's growth focusing on innovation, scalability, and competitive differentiation.
Technical Expertise
- Leverage deep technical knowledge of telematics and connected automotive technologies to guide the development and enhancement of connected products.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to ensure that the connected products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in telematics, IoT, AI, and data analytics to incorporate relevant technologies into product development.
Collaboration Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Connected Technology group leaders to align strategic initiatives with the overall business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of connected technologies into the automotive ecosystem.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry bodies to enhance the organization's capabilities and market position.
Innovation Growth
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the connected automotive domain with a focus on telematics and related technologies.
- Drive innovation by recommending and implementing new technologies, tools, and processes that enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
- Create and implement strategies for entering new markets, expanding the product portfolio, and improving customer satisfaction.
Performance Risk Management
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs to monitor the success of connected product initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with the development and deployment of connected technologies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
Mentorship Development
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the Connected Technology group.
- Lead by example in promoting a collaborative and inclusive working environment that encourages creativity and cross-functional teamwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the automotive connected technology domain with a strong focus on telematics.
- Proven track record of defining and executing strategic initiatives in a consulting or leadership role within the automotive industry.
- Strong technical expertise in telematics, IoT, data analytics, and related technologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
- Experience working with global teams and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with the latest industry standards and regulations related to connected automotive technologies.
- Experience in developing partnerships with technology providers, OEMs, and other key players in the automotive ecosystem.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of software development, cloud computing, and cybersecurity principles in the context of connected automotive products.
