The key position will be responsible for working in a fast paced, exciting corporate tax department and will oversee and manage all aspects of federal income tax, state tax compliance and projects related to all the Veralto operating groups. This position will be located ONSITE, with flexibility, in our Waltham, MA facility. The role requires the creation of a strong partnership with accounting and finance (both with our corporate office and the numerous operating companies) and requires a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the accurate and timely preparation and review of the various consolidated and stand-alone federal and state income tax returns including standardizing the tax compliance processes in a decentralized environment with a mindset of global consistency and continuous improvement via the use of technology.
- Research and document relevant tax laws supporting positions taken on tax returns and financial statements. Partner with the tax accounting team to address ASC 740 reporting needs, for example to assist with SOX requirements including monitoring and testing internal control procedures and to provide support in the financial and tax evaluation of potential acquisition targets.
- Lead Domestic projects including R&D tax credit, equity compensation, state incentives, and support the Global Tax Strategy team with domestic aspects of M&A, Planning and Transfer pricing projects.
- Manage the collection and drafting of responses to IRS audit Information Document Requests and state tax audits.
- Partner with corporate functional areas and business teams, at the operating company level, to establish processes and facilitate continuous process improvements.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting; Advanced degree and/or CPA preferred, but not required.
- 15+ years of relevant tax experience working in a public accounting firm or in a tax department for a US multinational corporation preferably with some US International tax experience.
- Strong Excel skills, including data gathering/wrangling; knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI desired.
- Ability to drive change and promote efficiency and automation through technology and software tools.
- Corptax experience highly preferred; general ledger and accounting experience a plus.
- Experience managing and developing a team.

Location and Travel:
- This position will be located in Waltham, MA – Veralto Headquarters with a flexible work environment.
- Travel - Approximately 5% travel may be required to meet with Operating Companies within Veralto.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
