Position Summary
The Senior Director, Business Development is a key member of the Business Development Team at Independent Living Systems, LLC. This individual is committed to creating strategic business partnerships and driving the company’s new revenue sources while identifying and exploring new growth strategies. This individual will enhance business growth by leveraging strategic analysis and an understanding of customer needs to seek new growth strategies, cross-sell new products, and generating ideas for enhancing growth strategies. The Senior Director, Business Development will oversee and implement the full sales cycle, (from initial outreach to implementation) including market research, detailed analysis and bid qualification, sales presentations, closing, client retention and “owner” of SalesForce CRM software.
Essential Functions
- Cultivate and sustain tactical partnerships with current and prospective clients, and also with targeted collaborators, including managed care plans, government agencies, elected officials, industry leaders and other key stakeholders.
- Responsible for the implementation of the full sales cycle including market research, pre-analysis, sales presentations, RFP requests, closing deals, and client retention.
- Develop strategic plans, coordinate and manage all aspects of major implementations. Partner with ILS executive team to direct the work of implementation resources, including project management tools and teams.
- Create analytical tools and work with finance and operations teams to complete initial analysis valuing sales opportunities and developing standard pricing tools.
- Analyzes and monitors revenue, engagement, and P&L data to create strategies for key clients that will drive growth year by year. Identifying compensatory revenue pursuits when course correction is necessary.
- Conducts appropriate market research and competitive analysis to determine ongoing portfolio strategies and identifies new markets, partners, and channels for the sale of ILS services.
- Assists SVP BD & Marketing in overall management of SalesForce CRM tracking tool and process of all prospective and current clients and projects.
- Develops and maintains strong collaborative relationships company-wide to meet goals and objectives.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- 6 – 10+ years of experience managing successful national sales teams and proven account management.
