Senior Analyst, Collateral Management
Position Overview
Global Collateral Management Sr. Analyst analyzes, reconciles, compiles and coordinates periodic invested asset, collateral agreement, and other data/terms to prepare collateral and related reports for global oversight and governance purposes, as well as for business or corporate needs. Performs data analysis and collateral agreement/treaty research to answer questions and develop solutions. Takes a lead in developing new and ad hoc collateral reporting, including related to new business opportunities and legal entity collateral positions and risks. Coordinates quarterly collateral stress testing and related reporting. Ensures accurate, reliable and timely collateral reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Performs collateral reporting functions for the business unit, area or function, which may include any or all of the following:
- Monthly collateral database preparation
- Monthly letter of credit reporting
- Quarterly legal entity collateral risk reporting
- Quarterly collateral demand and supply reporting
- Periodic agreement-level internal and external collateral reporting
- Quarterly CLC stress testing and reporting
- new business pipeline reporting and analysis.
- Ad hoc collateral analysis, including stress testing
- Trust funding status assessment and recommendations for trust margining actions
- Collateral legal agreement documentation oversight.
- Schedules and leads collateral meetings with internal functional and corporate key stakeholders, including geographic regions, and Investments.
- Leads report development and/or updates; addresses collateral reporting related questions raised by business unit, area, or function; supports operational efficiency efforts.
- Assists with new transaction due diligence and analysis related to collateral; gathers information on new business pipeline needs and assists with reporting on collateral impacts of pipeline and emerging risks.
- Oversees the documentation of new collateral agreements as well as recapture and collateral triggers.
- Coordinates with Treasury, Investments, and other functional areas to support large, intercompany settlement activities and other funding desk needs.
- Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and propose solutions for enterprise-wide and deal-specific collateral sourcing or reporting issues.
- Shares technical expertise with others; recommends process improvements, provides functional advice and/or training as needed.
- Coordinates and completes special projects, appropriately balancing priorities and deliverables.
- Serves as liaison to other business units, areas and functions as needed.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience
- 8+ years investments, finance, accounting, or auditing experience
Preferred:
- Prior experience with collateral operations, analysis or reporting
- Prior experience with investment portfolio management
- Prior experience with investment data
- Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or other data visualization / data manipulation application knowledge
- SQL/Query, Python skills
