SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
ANSER is seeking an Operations Management Analyst to support the Campaign Decision Support Team (CDST) focused on International Relations and Military Affairs. The CDST provides data-driven campaign assessment support to Secretary of Defense and other senior DoD leaders in the execution of the National Defense Strategy. Individuals will provide senior leader level forum management, meeting execution, and senior leader stakeholder engagement and coordination. Successful candidates will have knowledge of responsibilities, functions, and operations of DoD organizations; demonstrated ability to communicate and work with senior executives across DoD; superior ability to communicate verbally and in writing at the executive level; and the ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving direction. The CDST is located in the Office of the Performance Improvement Office and Director of Administration and Management (OPIO-DA&M).
Specific skills include:
- Oversee the delivery of day-to-day support of an operational/administrative team of 3-4 ANSER employees and subcontractor employees.
- Develop, maintain and implement routine office technical/administrative procedures and standards to include document preparation and coordination, filing, formatting, reproduction, and distribution as required by the office mission.
- Assist government personnel with the development of business methods and procedures, including administrative systems, file systems, office systems, process flows, and production schedules to support CATMS.
- Experience with DoD governance forums, meeting management and execution, and senior leader stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of the organization and functions of OSD, the Joint Staff, the Military Departments, and the Defense Agencies and Field Activities.
- Extensive research experience including identification of authoritative sources, data gathering, analysis, and presentation of findings, both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with strategy formulation, execution, and planning of DoD resources.
- Ability to logically present information and develop official written documents (memos, papers, strategies, etc.) in accordance with the DoD Manual for Written Correspondence.
- Demonstrated interest in examining complex business problems and offering innovative solutions.
- Expertise in decision support, metric development and comparison, and other data-based capabilities for use in the effective management of a complex organization with multiple lines of functional activities.
- Capturing, coordinating, and disseminating agendas, read-ahead materials, and meeting minutes in support of DoD governance forums.
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus at least 8 years’ experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DoD. Master’s degree preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required at date of hire.
- Ability to provide on-site support in the Mark Center, Monday through Friday, during core business hours of 8am-4pm.
- Pentagon experience at the OSD, Joint Staff, or Service level.
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Professionalism, tact, and experience working with senior DoD leadership.
