We are hiring a Tax Manager for our public accounting client, a mid-sized accounting firm in the Twin Cities. This will give you the work life balance you're looking for. As Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Prepare complex corporate and partnership tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique tax situations and providing personalized solutions.
- Review tax returns prepared by staff accountants and tax preparers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations, conducting research and analysis to assess the impact on clients and recommend appropriate actions.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in tax preparation and review processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of tax-related activities, prepare reports, and contribute to the development of client presentations and materials.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and deadlines, keeping abreast of changes and proactively addressing any potential issues.
Who qualifies for the Tax Manager role?
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- CPA certification preferred
- 2+ years of team management and development experience
- 5+ years experience within business/corporate Tax
- Experience working in Public Accounting Firms
- Ability to work efficiently meet deadlines with accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
How much will you earn as the Tax Manager?
- Starting pay is between $100,000- $115,000
