Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Finance:
- Manage Cost Control for LCL Product Region Americas.
- Responsible for P&L Management & Budget Review.
- Ensure all financial reporting is consistent with country, regional, and global requirements.
- Work in collaboration with North America LCL Product Management for procurement.
- Commercial:
- Manage the commercial responsibility for Regional LCL product, demonstrating ongoing improvement to maximize profitability and volume growth.
- Drive the development of Collateral Material and presentations to support the Ocean Product KPIs and Growth – Collaboratively with North America LCL Product Management – for both Internal and External audiences.
- Ensuring all LCL cargo is handled in accordance with the Global business structure including full adherence to the Global Preferred Carrier Program.
- Develop and maintain reports and tools to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of the Region Americas LCL product that are aligned with both North American and Global guidelines.
- Work closely with Sales to develop and foster customer onboarding process once new business is secured including KPIs and associated measures, if needed.
- Review and improve processes for retention of clients.
- Directly involved with marketing and business development.
- Operations:
- Oversee US Gateway Operation(s).
- Manage all operations for the Export LCL program for Region Americas.
- Manage all operations for the Import LCL Program.
- Develop direct consolidation services as volume dictates.
- Facilitate the overall product goals by building strong relationships with overseas LCL teams.
- Ensure optimization of the CFS warehouses both from a cost and efficiency perspective.
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills:
This is a director level position. Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Generally prefer a minimum of 5 years of experience in (Ocean) Freight Forwarding with a solid understanding of International Ocean Freight Forwarding and consolidations / LCL. Minimum 10+ years Leadership or Management experience.
