The Senior Product Manager will guide product strategy for our Hematology Product portfolio. In addition, you will collect Voice of Customer (VOC) to drive new product development.
This position is part of Product Management/Marketing located in Miami, FL and will be On site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be part of the Hematology Product Management team and report to the Director of Product Management responsible for upstream marketing support and work closely with Global & Regional Marketing, Program Management, R&D, Applications, Service, Sales and other technical teams to assess and communicate your product strategy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Be accountable and responsible for product and life cycle management including design, development, production, and growth.
- Understand customer needs and validate solutions and understand and support assigned products as product subject matter expert.
- Develop business cases for new products, capture inputs, establish direction, and formulate new product features for development. Solve unique and complex problems for a broad impact on the product line.
- Demonstrate an end-user focus, gaining customer insights, and establishing relationships with industry Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).
- Perform research and analysis to identify competitive strengths and weaknesses that will be coordinated into NPD and training tools.
- Anticipate and identify market trends and needs for products and ensure that product designs are matched to customer demand and will deliver profitable market share and liaise with the commercial team for positive customer interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with internal partners: global marketing, regional marketing, and procurement to increase revenues and profitability; marketing to ensure successful launch and positioning; finance and procurement to develop pricing models; quality and regulatory to provide commercial expertise, R&D and program management to drive NPD and commercial activities are completed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business or related field, or MLS (ASCP) certification with 7+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Track record in developing new product development strategies and roadmaps.
- Expertise in presenting, engaging and debating with industry and hospital executives ensuring the best outcome for the business.
- Leading projects with risks and complexity, collaborating with cross-functional teams of R&D, global/regional marketing, regulatory, clinical, quality and operations.
- Developing and negotiating, with legal representation, business and/or research agreements.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- MBA degree
- Related experience with hematology products
- Medical device industry or IVD regulated environment
