Peregrine Team is hiring for a COO to join a well-established and growing law firm in the west Los Angeles area.
Position Overview:
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be a vital part of our executive team, responsible for managing the firm's day-to-day administrative and operational functions. Reporting directly to the Founding Partner, the COO will work collaboratively to implement business strategies, enhance operational processes, and drive overall success. This role involves providing leadership to our operations team, developing and enforcing operational policies, and cultivating a culture of excellence and accountability within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Partner with the Founding Partner and executive team to define and execute the firm’s strategic vision.
- Translate the strategic vision into actionable plans that align with the firm’s goals and objectives.
- Lead long-term planning efforts and establish performance benchmarks across the firm.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the firm's daily operations to ensure optimal productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure excellence in operational areas such as client services, case management, finance, and administrative functions.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of senior operational leaders and department heads.
- Foster a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate collaboration across departments to drive operational excellence and cohesion.
- Financial Oversight:
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational success and financial stability.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining high standards of client service.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and refine operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead initiatives to innovate and streamline operations, leveraging technology to boost productivity.
- Manage change effectively to ensure smooth transitions and enhancements.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting the firm’s assets.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Maintain a safe and supportive work environment, upholding the firm’s policies and values.
Qualifications:- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in senior operational management roles, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale operations and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience in scaling operations and driving process improvements is highly desirable.

Compensation: $150k-200k plus additional incentives.
