Position Overview:

This position includes both conservative and surgical management of complex acute and chronic conditions of the foot, ankle, and related structures of the leg.
Works collaboratively as a team member with both the inpatient and outpatient podiatrists and their teams as well as with the other specialties involved with the patient’s care.
Will provide outpatient clinical services for hospital discharged patients on a rotating basis.
Strong surgical background and experience in diabetic limb salvage with wound care experience. Fellowship preferred, but not required.
There will be rotational weekday evening and weekend call.
Proficient and experienced with EPIC type EMR system (preferred).

Practice Specifics:

Schedule: 8 hr day shifts
You will rotate weekend and evening call with the other podiatrists covering both Abbott and United Hospitals when on call (typically once every 8 weeks).

Requirements:

Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required.
Completion of a 24 month residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in a program approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) required.
0 to 2 years of demonstrated experience in designated specialty area required.
Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire.
ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required within 180 Days.
PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource required depending on business unit upon hire.
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation - Multisource required depending on business unit upon hire.
Licensed Physician - WI upon hire required.
Board Certification or Board Eligible by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ABFAS) upon hire required.
Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required.
Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required.
National Provider Identifier upon hire required.

Compensation & Benefits:

5 weeks of time away year one; 6 weeks of time away year two and beyond.
BCBS benefits that you’ll be eligible for the first of the month following your start date.
$4,500 CME dollars per calendar year.
$850 CME annual CME supply stipend.
401(k) + match.
