Lazard’s Private Capital Advisory Group (“PCA”) is an 85+ person global team with a Secondary/Capital Solutions Advisory business as well as a placement agent business that manages the raising of capital for Private Equity, Private Credit and Real Estate firms. PCA interacts primarily with institutional investors (sovereign wealth funds, public funds, corporate pension funds, foundations/endowments, financial institutions, and asset managers). PCA is seeking to hire a distribution Vice President for its primary capital raising business focused on Private Equity and Private Credit to cover institutional investors located throughout the Western United States and Canada. This individual will interact regularly with institutional investors, fund sponsors and the Lazard Transaction Management teams throughout the marketing process. This position requires extensive travel.
We’ll Trust You To:
- Identify and develop relationships with institutional investors; develop and execute a plan to close interested investors
- Distribute offering materials, host fund managers on road shows, arrange and attend meetings, and communicate regularly with the Transaction Management team
- Assist the Transaction Management team in evaluating and pitching new business opportunities
- Maintain market intelligence data bases and business development presentations
- Manage and mentor junior team members
You’ll need to have:
- At least 7 years work experience, preferably in the capital raising, investor relations, or investment banking space
- A successful track record of fundraising or proven institutional sales skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A diligent, organized and confident communication style, both internally and externally
- A proactive self-starter approach with an ability to operate with minimal supervision while working collaboratively within a team
- A deep understanding of private equity fundraising

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $250,000 - $275,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
