The Sales Manager will play a critical leadership role in driving 3E's growth by developing and executing strategies to identify, target, and secure new customers. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Sales, you will develop a sales team to achieve their financial targets.
We are seeking a dynamic leader who can build and scale a team of new business sales people. This role requires someone with an ability to inspire and coach a team to consistently exceed targets. Your primary mission will be to cultivate a culture of proactive, results-driven activity and to develop strategies that drive revenue growth.
This leadership role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days per week on-site at our Bethesda office.
What You'll Do
- Sales Team Leadership
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with 3E’s vision and goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Improve conversion rates, managing the team’s lead follow-up and opportunity conversion.
- Conduct pipeline reviews with the sales team, set KPI’s/goals to achieve new business targets.
- Drive sales rigor through effective pipeline management and commercial tech adoption, Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, Revenue.io & Highspot.
- Assignment of sales territories and annual quota targets to the Business Development Team.
- Support the team in client meetings and complex negotiations.
- Provide coaching, inspire performance through recognition of wins whilst learning from losses.
- Champion talent development, product/industry learning curriculums, and recognition programs aimed at maximizing team productivity and instilling a culture of excellence.
- Partner internally to enable a world-class customer experience.
- Collaborate with Account Management and Customer Success teams.
- Reinforce a smooth Business Development-to-Account Management hand-off process that ensures client success and retention.
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns to channel effective demand generation.
- Influence our product roadmap by sharing client feedback with our product teams.
What Makes You A Great Fit
- 8+ years consultative sales experience running high growth new business focused teams driving new logo and cross-sell.
- Ability to function effectively within a high-performance environment and show flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment.
- Experienced in interviewing, selecting, and training new hires for the sales team.
- Responsible for preparing and analyzing sales production and forecasting data.
- Ability to mentor the sales team utilizing diagnostic/complex sales methodology.
