The Director of FP&A will oversee the financial planning and analysis activities, providing critical insights and reporting to internal stakeholders, including to an investment firm and CFO. This role will focus on creating a robust reporting framework, optimizing business performance, and developing a high-performing FP&A team. The Director of FP&A will be responsible for streamlining financial processes, delivering insightful analyses, and ensuring that reporting meets both internal and external needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Develop and manage the FP&A reporting framework to provide clear and accurate financial insights for internal stakeholders, including the Group CFO and investment firm.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze financial performance across different business units, identifying opportunities for optimization and providing actionable recommendations to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: Streamline and enhance financial planning processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting and analysis.
- Business Understanding: Leverage your knowledge of business operations to provide insightful analyses and solutions that drive strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various business units to gather data, understand their needs, and ensure alignment with overall financial strategies and goals.
- External Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and analyses for external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and compliance with reporting standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Extensive experience in FP&A, with a proven track record in financial reporting, performance optimization, and team management.
- Background: Strong understanding of business operations, with the ability to analyze and improve financial performance across diverse business units.
- Skills: Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with a focus on delivering actionable insights and process improvements.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
