As a Risk Management – Non-Financial Risk Governance Senior Consultant in our Non-Financial Risk Management team, you will support the successful implementation of the Corporate Non-Financial Risk Management Governance agenda. We value excellent team players with strong technical writing skills and verbal communication. You will need strong analytical skills, with ability to articulate and summarize findings to a broad audience. In this role, you will support the implementation and governance of organization-wide risk management policies and standards. In addition, you will be responsible for significant stakeholder management and collaboration across locations and functions, as we look to evolve established programs to clearly support business partners in the fulfilment of their risk management obligations while also addressing the existing and imminent cross-jurisdictional regulations and regulatory expectations.
The key responsibilities of the role may include:
- Work with the Non-Financial Risk function to develop and maintain policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures, including risk advisory within the Non-Financial Risk Management Program
- Work closely with business units and corporate functions to assess business needs and further develop risk controls to efficiently achieve risk management goals and objectives
- Assist in developing, design, implementation, and support risk management framework, including but not limited to: Risk governance and controls, organization structure, policies, and procedures, three lines of defense, risk measures and metrics (risk appetite and limits, monitoring and escalation)
- Identify current state risk management activities and governance structure, assist with formulation of the required/desired state based on regulatory and best practices, conduct gap analysis
- Work alongside internal groups such as Legal Entity Risk Management, Cyber Risk, Privacy, and Enterprise Risk areas as well as Business Units, Compliance, Legal, and Operations on matters related to risk assessments, risk controls, incidents, and change management projects
- Provide support and guidance for audits and regulatory examinations
- Monitor regulatory updates and provide team with guidance on impact of changes in regulatory environment and how to adjust corporate programs to support
- Interacts with partners and presents to business unit and corporate function stakeholders to understand the risks/challenges within the business, business changes and other significant events that could significantly affect the firm or adherence to regulatory requirements and risk appetite
- Manages and performs special projects as assigned
- Participates in meetings with business units, Senior, and Executive Management to discuss program implementation and risk insights
- Drive and support change in the Non-Financial Risk team in line with the vision and strategy

- Solid understanding of project management and portfolio management techniques and methods (i.e., what good looks like), change management principles, and how to build high-performing teams
- Project management experience across a portfolio of initiatives (e.g., defining objectives and success metrics, developing execution plans, identifying and managing dependencies, anticipating and resolving roadblocks, ensuring that the project teams stay on track, proactively managing dependencies and making purposeful trade-offs)
- Ability to establish trust-based relationships with stakeholders across enterprise, lead them towards common objectives, and managing upwards and downwards (e.g., experience with acting as a constructive conduit between business and non-business teams)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner, including on high-sensitivity topics (e.g., organizational structure, funding)
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate related job experience
- 5+ years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, Internal Control, and/or Risk Management
- Strong business writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functions to achieve measurable results
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests at the same time
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
