What you’ll do:
The Senior Analyst/ Consultant, TPRM will support the Third Party Risk Management team fulfill its review, challenge and reporting expectations, as well as operational risk management and control framework requirements. The role uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to assist with the identification, measurement, management, monitoring, and control of third party risk in compliance with all applicable CIBC policies, standards, guidelines, and controls. The Senior Analyst/ Consultant, TPRM exercises independent judgement within defined procedures to support CIBC’s second line of defense by assisting in the provision of effective challenge to lines of business third party risk and control inputs and outputs. The role applies professional analytical and communication skills to facilitate and support management’s use of third party and operational risk tools, and providing input into the continuous improvement of those tools and processes.

How you’ll succeed:
- Support the identification and assessment, measurement, control and monitoring, and reporting of Third Party Risk in a dynamic and continuous manner.
- Support the development and enhancement of CIBC’s US TPRM practice and program across all aspects of the third party life cycle.
- Assist with the oversight and effective challenge of Third Party risk and control activities.
- Help maintain and update the US TPRM Policy Supplement and program framework standards.
- Assist with performing of second line of defense Objective Assessments.
- Assist/ coordinate the review and challenge of TPRAs with residual risks higher than Low (issues management process).
- Monitor closure of issues, risks identified, risk decision and mitigation plans per issues management process.
- Assist with the review and challenge of activities associated with the Affiliate Relationship Management program (Risk and Performance Assessments, Service Schedules, etc.).
- Produce regular TPRM program reports to senior management, governance committees and the Risk Committees of the Boards on Third Party Risk status, trends, issues and mitigation strategies/plans.
- Monitor changes in third party regulatory requirements, and coordinate with TPRM team on impact analysis and communication plan to impacted stakeholders.
Who you are:
- You have experience in Third Party Risk Management (2-4 years), or similar operational risk area. Financial Services experience is a plus, but not a limiting factor.
- You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

- You’re proficient in MS Office Suite, and other data analysis tools (i.e.: Power BI, Tableau).
