Definition:
The CFO is responsible for directing the financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, the financial community and the Ownership and its members. In addition to providing strategic and operational support to the Resort, the CFO also supervises its finance and accounting operations.
General Duties:
* Responsible for financial reporting and cash flow management of all business lines.
* Responsible for annual audit by external auditor, including ensuring the audit is completed on time and on budget.
* Responsible for the direct development of the Finance Division budget
* Responsible for the Timely completion of the complete operating budget for Dimensions.
* Responsible for time completion and accuracy of the monthly forecast.
* Responsible for Accounting Department budget.
* Assist in managing bank/treasury functions.
* Assist in improving all aspects of working capital.
* Assist with preparation of Income Tax Returns and ensuring all such returns are filed in a timely manner.
* Responsible for ensuring all Sales Tax Returns are filed timely and oversee and Sales Tax audits.
* Responsible for ensuring all contractor's licenses and licenses to do business are current, including TABC licensures.
* Responsible for risk management.
* Assist in liability and health insurance, and vendor contract negotiations.
* Provide guidance and recommendations on all accounting requirements and issues
* Responsible for monthly WIP review (prepare explanation/analysis of month's activity).
* Responsible for monthly or period closing process which includes reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
* Responsible for maintaining and developing a strong internal control environment.
* Responsible for compliance with all company policies and procedures.
* Responsible for management and financial reporting used by managers.
* Conduct research and present technical accounting development to ownership.
* Respond to inquiries for financial information from internal management and external institutions.
* Support management by compiling special/required information and analysis and preparing recommendations.
* Supervise the duties of the accounting staff.
* Develop the accounting team.
* Assist accounting personnel with accounting system by demonstrating fluency in all aspects of accounting system.
* Assist in special projects as needed.
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum of 10 years' experience as Director of Finance or VP of Finance in a multi property Resort Hotel Setting.
* Must have a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
* Must be a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
* Must be an energetic individual with an extensive percentage of completion accounting experience.
* Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
* Must be able to reach top drawer of four-drawer cabinet.
* Moderate lifting and carrying, 15-45 pounds.
* Must be able to bend stoop, reach and stretch repetitively.
* Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to develop programs that accomplish necessary objectives.
* Must have ability to learn technical material.
