Vaco Boston has partnered with our client, a global asset management company, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to play a key role in their U.S. tax provision, financial reporting, and compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Calculating the annual tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
- Overseeing the U.S. tax provision workflow
- Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual SEC disclosures, including income tax footnote and other tax disclosures
- Managing portions of the compliance process, working with outsourced external tax preparers
- Overseeing estimates and extension calculations
- Assisting with local returns, estimated tax payment calculations for various jurisdictions
- Supporting other compliance processes, including tax information reporting and withholding as needed
- Responding to federal, state, local, and foreign tax inquiries and audits
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or better in Accounting. MST and CPA highly preferred
- 7+ years of corporate U.S. tax provision and compliance experience, including hands-on preparation of provisions and returns
- Experience with partnerships and/or international tax compliance is a plus
- Team oriented, but also able to work independently
- Ability to mentor and develop junior staff members
