Summary of Job Duties: The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments and with patient's families and visitors. This position is held accountable for performing the correct radiologic exams and producing high quality images.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from a two (2) year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology.
- Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Licensed or eligible for license by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology.
- CPR certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS Degree.
- More than one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology or a related field.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Producing radiographs for medical interpretation in the UAMS Inpatient Diagnostic Department.
- Entering information into the Radiology Information System.
- Processing Images in Computed Radiography System and reviewing images in PACS System.
- Assists with patient intake and rooming.
- Communicates with patients, patient's family members, co-workers, and physicians.
