Job Summary:
The Executive Director of Business Development is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving the Business Development strategy for the Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing the bank's corporate client portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial products and services, and fostering strong relationships with corporate clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in corporate banking, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the Ghanaian financial market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall corporate banking strategy in alignment with the bank's objectives. Provide strategic direction and leadership to the corporate banking team.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions. Act as the primary point of contact for key corporate clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the bank's corporate banking portfolio. Drive initiatives to attract new corporate clients and enhance market share.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all corporate banking activities. Implement effective risk management practices to safeguard the bank's interests.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing corporate banking team. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages professional growth.
- Financial Performance: Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the corporate banking portfolio. Implement strategies to optimize revenue generation and manage costs effectively.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Utilize market intelligence to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate banking, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing corporate banking portfolios and achieving business growth.
- Strong understanding of the Ghanaian financial market and regulatory environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions.
