The Indo-Pacific Regional Operations Department (N254) works with the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) and the Military Service Components on-island to inform warfighter requirements and Concepts of Operation (CONOPS), and provides Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems acquisition, engineering, and integration support to the Department of Defense (DOD) and U.S. Allies in the Pacific Theater.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Build and manage sponsor, MITRE, and stakeholder relationships pertaining to INDOPACOM Theater Network Operations Control Center (TNCC).
- Shape/create systems of systems approach to joint operational oversight of heterogeneous networks.
- Partner with operational mission owners within INDOPACOM and its components to measure complex dependencies and communicate risk to leadership.
- Increase collaboration and coordination on experimentation between INDOPACOM, the Service Components and the Services through this strategy.
- Provide analysis and strategic guidance on the modification and/or construction of theater communication architecture.
- Support the government in balancing support to operations with network and communication security.
- Define key metrics that can/should be utilized to establish mission readiness across interdependent systems and quantify risk to operational capability.
- Collaborate with other government, FFRDC, and MITRE leads and organizations to identify and integrate new technology into theater architectures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically BS in a technical discipline, such as Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Computer), Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields; or a BA in International Relations, International Security, or similar fields and 8 years of experience, or a master’s degree and 6 years of experience.
- Familiarity with DoD military missions.
- Prior experience working day-to-day in government-controlled DoD spaces.
- Working knowledge of DoD missions and operational processes.
- Demonstrated expert level knowledge of terrestrial and tactical communications systems.
- Strong system-of-systems engineering experience across various DoD systems and mission sets.
- Prior experience with US Department of Defense systems of systems integration.
- Effective and influential oral communications skills.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of related experience; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Working knowledge of model-based systems engineering, operational analysis, and modeling & simulation.
- Current knowledge of emerging technology being adopted into acquisition programs and/or the INDOPACOM theater.
- Familiarity with MITRE project management processes, capabilities, and associated tools.
- Demonstrated capability for strategic planning and ability to provide actionable plans to government sponsors.
- Experience with and/or future interest in project and department leadership roles including project leader, task leader, and group leader.
- Active TS/SCI.
Salary compensation range and midpoint: $138,500 - $173,000 - $207,500 Annual
