We have an opportunity for a Senior Compliance Counsel to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining Pentair's commitment to global compliance, including leading and conducting Office of Business Conduct and Ethics (OBCE) investigations involving our operations in the Americas and implementing our ethics and compliance training programs globally. You will provide decision-making, support, advice, and training, and be responsible for implementing - and continuously improving - various OBCE processes and policies. You will report to Pentair's Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
You will:
- Manage and conduct process-driven OBCE investigations. Collaborate with internal Legal team members and outside counsel in connection with investigations and other compliance matters, as necessary.
- Manage Pentair's ethics inbox, compliance hotlines, and other global OBCE claim intake routes, case management tool, and triage process.
- Conduct intake and investigations training for human resources and business management personnel. Regional support for HR & culture investigations as needed.
- Support the OBCE's reporting process by providing the Chief Compliance Officer with periodic compliance report drafts.
- Manage our global program for tracking and approving gifts & entertainment requests and conflict disclosures.
- Support other Compliance team members in development and delivery of Pentair's annual ethics training and Code of Conduct certification processes (employees and directors).
- Develop and deliver focused trainings, in various formats, regarding compliance with applicable law and the company's related policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support the Chief Compliance Officer in managing various OBCE vendors as needed (translation vendors, case management and training vendors, law firms).
- Support the Legal team in keeping our various legal and compliance policies fully up to date and compliant with regulations and trending.
- Work with the Legal team to provide business clients with guidance on a daily basis with regard to resolving red flags, addressing compliance questions, and providing pragmatic solutions that appropriately balance enterprise growth and legal and compliance risk mitigation, all in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Participate in and coordinate with the company's compliance professionals and internal audit on a periodic basis to assess and monitor the effectiveness of our compliance program and implement continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate with strong academic history and significant hands-on experience in the areas described below.
- Attorney licensed in the state of Minnesota with at least 5+ years of relevant work experience, including experience conducting investigations, utilizing or managing a compliance case-management tool/software, and executing or leading compliance or investigation programs.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English. Works well in a complex and matrixed organization, communicating effectively with all stakeholders as appropriate.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as other relevant compliance tools, such as databases, software, portals, etc.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills; excellent ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously; a quick learner, self-starter, and an inspirational team leader who can thrive in ambiguity and handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining effective business relationships with varied constituencies.
- Sophisticated perspective on, and experience navigating various international regulatory regimes including anti-bribery and anti-corruption.
- High degree of courage, discretion, and judgment; absolute confidentiality and integrity.
Travel:
- Up to 15% travel, including international, to meet with business leaders and/or business partners.
