Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
The Director of FP&A plays a central role in driving the company's financial strategy, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, and supporting key decision-making processes, particularly in relation to growth initiatives. This role serves as a strategic partner to the CFO and collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure financial objectives are aligned with overall business goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures a comprehensive understanding of the OCH financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Oversees the development of financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
- Analyzes current financial performance against historical data and forecasts.
- Identifies trends and makes recommendations for financial optimization.
- Presents financial data and strategies to senior management and board members.
- Advises on long-term business and financial planning.
- Collaborates with the CFO and executive team to develop and implement business strategies that support stable growth.
- Develops comprehensive financial reporting tools to assess company performance and identify opportunities and risks.
- Implements and facilitates a data-driven approach to business management, building & enhancing KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems to facilitate effective decision-making.
Additional Duties
- Periodic duties include the back up of OCH controller and CFO.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees Data Science operations and acts as a backup to the Controller.
- Additional positions will be specified later.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis with a focus on strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- 10 years of management experience with strategic agility and adaptability to navigate complex business challenges.
- Fluency in understanding accounting practices and strong technical expertise in finance supported by an MBA, CPA, or CMA.
- Technology oriented with significant experience with Excel, SAS, MIP, and databases.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
- The ideal candidate usually has at least 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with significant experience in a management role. Advanced degrees such as an MBA and certifications like the CPA or CMA are often preferred. This role requires advanced strategic thinking and communication skills, as the director of FP&A often collaborates closely with senior leadership.
