Job Duties:

- Produce high-quality patent application drafts and responses to office actions.
- Maintain regular correspondence and communication with clients regarding patent matters.
- Conduct prior art searches and patentability assessments.
- Assist in patent portfolio management and strategy development.
- Collaborate with attorneys and clients to implement patent prosecution strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in molecular biology; advanced degree (PhD) preferred in molecular and cellular biology or related disciplines (excluding chemistry, medical device, or pharmaceutical sciences).
- Registration with the USPTO.
- 2+ years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
- Prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm preferred.
- Familiarity with litigation, opinions, licensing, patent due diligence, and trademark matters preferred.
