Atrium Health’s Levine’s Children Division of Neonatology is seeking a Neonatologist to join our exceptional team. Our level IV unit offers all neonatal services, including high frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, Aquadex, advanced nutrition strategies, and both air and ground neonatal transport. We have a growing telemedicine and POCUS program. There is opportunity to teach both residents and medical students as well as participate in expanding educational and research programming. In addition to the Level IV NICU, the team staffs NICUs at Atrium Health Cabarrus, University City; Pineville and Union.
The Level IV NICU has 85 licensed beds, with additional overflow capacity, and is covered 24/7 by in-house neonatologists and advanced practice providers. We are committed to being the region’s leading provider of pediatric health care services.
Ideal Candidate:
- American Board certified in Pediatrics, and Board Certified/Eligible in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine.
- Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the clinical, service, academic and teaching missions of the Division of Neonatology.
Academic appointment at The Wake Forest School of Medicine is commensurate with experience. The Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Charlotte campus, will be located less than three-quarters of a mile from Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. The initial class of Wake Forest University School of Medicine – Charlotte's first-year medical students are anticipated to begin their education in 2025.
The compensation package is competitive and includes salary, fringe benefits, malpractice insurance, and CME.
