Highlights about the position include:
- Join a team of 4 Physicians, 11 Advanced Practice Providers, and 2 Social Workers
- Provide clinical care in a variety of consultative settings, including cognitive care & inpatient care
- Physician will work out of the north Charlotte market, to include Atrium Health Cabarrus and Atrium Health University City
- Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday, to include occasional weekend as a part of the Call Rotation
- Call Rotation: 1:7
- Opportunities to precept medical students, residents, and fellows during their geriatric rotations
- Opportunities to teach Geriatric Medicine principles to medical students, residents, and fellows
Ideal candidate:
- Fellowship-trained geriatrician: board-certifiedfamily medicine physician with/eligible for CAQ in Geriatric Medicine (ABFM/AOBFP) or board-certified internal medicine physician with/eligible for Subspecialty Certification in Geriatric Medicine (ABIM/AOBIM)
- Skilled in providing care to patients in a variety of clinical settings, including Long-Term Care, Geriatric Assessment and Memory Assessment Clinics, Perioperative Clinics, and Inpatient consultative services
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, trainees, and interdisciplinary team members
