A global, well-respected insurance company has a need for an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to cover the greater San Diego and Orange County market. The role is 100% REMOTE, but candidates must be in the greater San Diego or Orange County area for periodic in-person appearances (roughly 1x/month). In this role, you will manage your own caseload of 50 cases. Most cases are commercial, complex matters. Position requires (i) 6+ years of insurance defense experience; (ii) first chair jury trial to verdict experience; (iii) an active license to practice law in CA. Experience with Homeowners Association (HOA), habitability cases, and/or Directors and offices (D&O) is preferred but not required. Compensation includes a base salary of $156,500-171,300 + 20% annual bonus + excellent benefits with an emphasis on work-life balance.

- Responsible for the competent, ethical, and diligent representation of clients in all cases assigned by supervisor.
- Cases can involve all areas of tort practice, including an emphasis on Homeowners Association (HOA), habitability cases, and Directors and offices (D&O).
- Responsible for handling matters of great complexity and/or exposure. Assists in cases of all complexities and/or exposures.
- Assists Managing Attorney or Supervising Attorney in the performance of delegated managerial and administrative duties.
