Our client, an AI-driven company impacting the financial services industry, is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in Colorado. The successful candidate will be responsible to enhance algorithm quality and work closely with clients to translate complex technology needs into effective solutions.

Responsibilities

As the Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will develop and implement solutions for analyzing unstructured text data to support data/text mining and drive informed business decisions.
You will apply statistical analysis techniques to examine both unstructured and structured data from diverse sources to unlock valuable insights.
Address complex business challenges and generate insights through statistical, algorithmic, and visualization methods.
Maintain data integrity and address data imperfections by adhering to consistent practices.
Craft impactful data visualizations to effectively communicate results and emphasize business impacts.
Leverage current and emerging technologies to analyze trends and deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
Discover patterns and correlations in data, drawing from both related and unrelated variables.

Skillset

PhD or Masters degree in Computer Science or similar.
Minimum of five years of experience in data science with a focus on financial data, preferably in a startup setting.
Background in wealth advisory or asset management is a plus.
Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, predictive modeling, text mining, and topic modeling.
Expertise in Python, including NLP libraries.
Strong proficiency with SQL-based ETL pipelines (DBT experience is a plus).
Knowledge of modern data technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, Athena, and Postgres.
Ability to manage product development timelines, resolve obstacles, and document requirements.
