About the Job:
The Finance & Risk Management Department is seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Analyst to lead complex financial analyses and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. This role involves developing and overseeing budgets, conducting financial modeling, and ensuring the accuracy of financial forecasts. You will be part of a team where work-life balance is prioritized.
The ideal candidate will excel in financial modeling, particularly in rate setting, and have experience using Workday Adaptive Planning or similar software. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions will directly influence the financial health and strategic direction of the Airport Authority.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct Financial Modeling: Perform complex financial analyses, including revenue forecasting and feasibility studies, using advanced financial models in Excel.
- Monitor Financial Performance: Track and analyze actual performance against budgets, providing detailed reports to stakeholders using Excel.
- Support Rate Setting: Develop and refine rates and fees, ensuring alignment with financial goals and regulatory requirements.
- Leverage Technology: Utilize Workday Adaptive Planning and other financial software to streamline processes and improve decision-making.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work collaboratively with Airport Authority departments and stakeholders to gather data and develop financial strategies.
- Provide Strategic Insights: Offer guidance on financial planning and analysis to support the organization's strategic initiatives.

What We Are Looking For:
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in governmental budgeting, financial analysis, or professional accounting; and/or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A California Class C driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Authority’s vehicle insurance policy.
Preferred Experience:
- Demonstrated experience using Workday Adaptive Planning for financial modeling and budgeting.
- Experience in developing and implementing rate-setting strategies, including cost analysis and revenue forecasting.
