POSITION SUMMARY
A Senior Accountant performs on-going projects and financial analysis to support various areas of the company. Responsible for presenting results of financial analysis, implements new and improved processes across functional areas, forecasting and projections, and participates and supports month-end and year-end close activities.

Senior Accountant Level I Salary Range: $74,152 - 88,892/year

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Analyzes financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for management.
- Researches GAAP and Tax principles and provide results.
- Demonstrates accounting and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Performs international consolidations, transfer pricing, and tax.
- Develops plans of action for management based on financial analysis.
- Collaborates with all functional areas in the Company to understand costs and variances to assist in providing detailed analysis related to COGS, operating expenses, and financial results.
- Works independently and as part of a team, taking on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.
- Involved in periodic forecasting, cash flows, projections, gross margin, COGS, and trend analysis.
- Assists with external annual financial audits.
- Implements metrics to measure performance.
- Supports month-end and year-end closings by preparing journal entries, performing account analysis, and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure supporting detail is accurate.
- Assists with tax audits and tax returns.
- Effectively handles multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Stays abreast of developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory.
- Documents cross-departmental processes, provides process improvement recommendations, and facilitates implementation.
- Creates policies and procedures and improvements.
- Assists with audit reports.
- Implements improvements to procedures, systems, and processes that will enhance internal controls.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; three to four years of public accounting experience or five to six years of private industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing experience is a plus. CPA preferred.
Computer Skills: Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Word, Excel & Outlook) and FRx or similar programs. Ability to learn new software applications as needed. Knowledge of Accounting software - Syspro; Database software - Taylor Database. Ability to be trained in finance software.
