Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
As a Clinical Director, in conjunction with local and Statewide Leadership, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of clinical services within the regional service area. You will participate in the identification and development of statewide clinical vision strategies and initiatives aimed at improving client outcomes and experience, ensuring that care is trauma informed, compassionate, culturally responsive, and person-centered. Implement and monitor regional clinical strategies that align with the center's vision and strategic direction, ensuring high-quality and efficient client care.
As Clinical Director, you will be responsible to provide values-based leadership by establishing transparent communication, promoting leadership everywhere, growth mindset, and citizen-focused decision making. You will collaborate with leadership to support staff in professional growth and developing a positive workplace culture and additionally supervise and evaluate agency clinical leadership. Additionally, the Clinical Director plays an important role in initiating and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders to ensure a full continuum of services is available within the region.
To thrive in this position, you will follow a strong clinical vision, have a commitment to assuring the delivery of exceptional behavioral health services, and understand and prioritize the needs of clients and stakeholders.
To be considered for this position, you are required to have a master's degree in social work, counseling, or any other master's degree approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners, and ND licensure as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor); OR a Doctorate in Psychology and licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
**May consider quality applicants that are not currently licensed in the state of North Dakota but must be able to obtain licensure within one year of hire, or are Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC).**
This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.

ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.
