For a youth & family clinical leader who comes at difficult problems in new ways, Nexus-PATH has a unique opportunity to lead a new, one-of-a-kind treatment foster care team! We are adding to our Western - North Dakota Region which can sit in our Minot, Williston, Bismarck, or Dickinson, ND offices.
Nexus-PATH seeks a Clinical Supervisor for our new model of Treatment Foster Care! TFC is a new opportunity to provide intensive support and treatment to youth, their families and their foster families. TFC provides intensive therapeutic services with the youth and their caregivers through a multi-disciplinary teamed approach. The Clinical Supervisor oversees a high intensity, in-home and community-based service model with a strong system’s focus to develop and support healing, stability, and permanency.
Schedule/Pay/Location:
- Full-time, hybrid (some in-office some remote work) opportunity!

Primary responsibilities:
Clinical Supervision
- Facilitates team meetings for client case consultation to therapists, skills coaches, social workers, and parent partners to ensure practices with families and youth are of high quality and in accordance with the model, and best practices.
- Provides individual supervision and consultation to assigned therapists, social work supervisors, parent partners, and others on an ongoing basis and during crisis situations.
- Screens, reviews and evaluates referrals and potential placements.
- Coordinates the distribution of cases among assigned team members.
- Ensures the training and development of foster parents relative to evidence-based best practices.
- Oversees and monitors case record-keeping and quality practices and processes to ensure compliance.
- Plans and processes quality assurance reviews, data collection, and reports to ensure compliance with licensing, CQI standards, contracts, state laws, etc.
- Reviews satisfaction survey results and program outcomes on a regular basis, and identifies areas for improvement to ensure quality programming and customer satisfaction.
Oversees and Monitors Referral Program, Admissions, Youth Placement, Foster Parent Recruitment & Relicensing, and Foster Care Family, School & Provider Communication, and Program and Service Documentation
- Ensures adequate relationships for the TFC program with referral sources.
- Meets with referral sources when necessary to keep an ongoing pulse on customer satisfaction and service-related issues.
- Confers with clinical/admissions teams regarding status of current treatment center residents and future referrals.
- Reviews interview process of prospective clients to assess amenability to treatment, suitability of placement and probability of success, and facilitates the matching process.
- Proposes recommendations for client admissions or rejections with clinical staff, and/or the admissions team.
- Reviews & monitors the admissions process with clients and family/guardian as necessary.
- Ensures our team is assisting foster and adoptive parents in adhering to state and federal residing licensing guidelines pertaining to foster care/adoption.
- Reviews the placement and ongoing support of youth placed in foster and adoptive homes assigned to their caseload.
- Works closely with the team to achieve reunification or permanency plans for assigned youth.
- Requires team to provide treatment plans and utilize a variety of treatment approaches with clients.
- Oversees regional recruitment plan to recruit new foster and adoptive parents and ensures relicensing of existing families.
- Encourages staff to bridge relationships with foster parents and biological families.
- Provides timely and accurate communication to supervisory and management staff and team members regarding significant events, to ensure continuity of care and safety of clients.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Services, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or clinically related field required.
- Minimum of an Intermediary Clinical Licensure required:
- North Dakota: LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT.
- Experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling required.
- Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Full/Independent Clinical Licensure strongly preferred - salary starting at $86,000+
- North Dakota: LCSW, LPCC, LMFT.
