What Will You Be Doing?
The Analyst, Material Operations II is responsible for supporting the team with working on projects focused on improving operational activities relating to the forecast and allocation of all material that directly supports the aircraft and the stations. There are 3 key focus areas: 1) Demand Planning, 2) Inventory Management, and 3) Process Improvements. The role will participate on cross-functional teams to determine inventory needs and ensure inventory reporting accuracy as well as supporting the Manager with measuring Operational Analytics (OA) with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintaining a high customer service level within all stakeholders within the organization.
Essential Functions
- Build team consensus on key inventory requirements and the decision-making process for changes in stocking levels.
- Develop and support methods for measuring, analyzing and reporting on forecast accuracy, inventory levels and optimization and other processes, ensuring minimum service levels are met or exceeded and recommendations are provided to senior leaders.
- Issue requisitions to the buyers, answer questions, conduct reviews and resolve open issues.
- Recommend and implement technology solutions to optimize material allocations
- Develop and support tooling calibration models and work with Repair Team to create ROs
- Maintain and develop automated reports and KPI dashboards depicting Key Performance Indicators and controls.
- Collaborate with various departments and subject matter experts on OAs with KPIs, and drive efficiencies measured with KPIs.
- Support all GMM processes within department and ensure compliance.
- Develop, direct workload, coach and train direct reports within the team and support best practices between peers to build synergies.
- Assist other teams within Materials as needed to support the operation
Other Functions
- Support operations in resolving inventory-related issues.
- Lead quarterly business review meetings with supplier business partners.
- Support tactical purchasing requirements when needed.
- Manage material process for major aircraft modifications.
- All other duties as reasonably requested by the Material Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Master’s degree preferred
- 3+ years’ work experience with data analysis tools (i.e. Advanced Excel, Alteryx, MS Access, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or equivalent) required
- 2+ years of work experience in creating forecast models required
- 2+ years working and developing KPIs required
- 3+ years airline/aviation experience preferred
